AMHSI offers 6-week sessions for individuals who want to experience Israel during the summer. AMHSI Summer participants don’t just get a tour guide – they get a passionate and expert teacher to lead and guide them through the history of Israel, chronologically. The shorter summer sessions offer the same historical and cultural benefits as the 8-week program, but are shorter because they don’t have home-school curriculums to keep up with. Summer session participants are eligible to receive 6 college credits from the University of Miami. Whether hiking where King Saul battled the Philistines or following in the footsteps of Ben Gurion, AMHSI Summer session participants learn in a classroom without walls, live 4000 years of history and love Israel in an adventure that is unlike any other. As in all AMHSI programs, summer participants experience history for themselves in an exciting and memorable way as they learn in a classroom, at a beach, atop a mountain, and all across Israel. Participants live in campus dorms and are encouraged to get a real “taste” of Israel at the nearby local restaurants, cafes and parks. Not only are students part of an AMHSI family, they become a part of a larger community.
