![]() AMHSI is very pleased to announce that students participating in the program in Jewish Studies that has been offered by Alexander Muss High School in Israel (AMHSI) as part of its core curriculum will now be eligible to receive 6 academic credits from the University of Miami’s George Feldenkreis Program in Judaic Studies. Who may apply? Students who have completed 10th grade, have a 3.0 grade point average, their school recommendation and are enrolling in the AMHSI core Jewish studies program in Israel. What credits will students receive? Upon successful completion of the AMHSI program, students will receive 6 University of Miami credits for the following 2 courses, JUS 20: Israel, Origins, Culture and Society, and JUS 231:Jewish Civilization, Society, Culture and Religion. How can these credits be used? Students successfully completing the program, upon application, will receive a University of Miami Transcript of Grades for the two courses. Since the University of Miami is ranked as the 37th top university in the United States, these credits can be submitted to universities throughout the U.S. to be considered as credits towards an undergraduate degree. How much do the 6 credits cost? Six credits at the University of Miami and at similarly ranked private universities in the U.S. cost approximately $9,600.
