General Studies Department

AMHSI works closely with each student's home school to ensure academic continuity in their class subjects.  AMHSI employs highly qualified teachers to instruct the students in subjects such as English, Math, and Science, often in a 1:1 ratio.  This  individualized attention helps the students excel academically and they often return to their home schools ahead of the assigned curriculum.  AMHSI makes every effort to find instructors for students' individual needs, including at the AP level; in the past, AMHSI students have been instructed in Mandarin, computer programming, and studio art while studying abroad at AMHSI.

The below list outlines some of AMHSI's General Studies teachers, the subjects they teach, how long they have been working at AMHSI, and their educational credentials.

For more information about the General Studies program or to inquire about the availability of a particular subject, please contact your local Director of Admissions or Jill Segal, Dean of General Studies.
