1. (USA) Directors of Admissions (DAs):


Description: Alexander Muss High School in Israel Directors of Admissions are responsible for recruitment and introducing teens and their families to the unique and life-lasting AMHSI experience.

Duties will include: Coordinating and participating in special recruitment programs; advising and counseling prospective students on the specifics of the program and the admissions process; attending regional academic and cultural fairs; getting involved with the youth community by traveling to youth groups, synagogues, and schools to identify potential students; supporting and taking direction from the National Director of Recruitment; and other tasks as may be assigned.

The successful candidate will bring: Enthusiasm and ability to meet tasks head on; ability to work under pressure and multi-task; strong customer service skills; effective oral and written skills to interact with students and parents; ability to travel throughout the region and work flexible hours that may include evenings and weekends. 4. (Israel) Madrichim (Resident Counselors):

AMHSI is always seeking Madrichim for our High School in Israel division and for our Jewish Day School programs division. We offer a wonderful opportunity to work with an outstanding staff of Educators who are committed, warm and supportive. We offer you the chance to be a part of developing and strengthening the Jewish identity of young students from all over the world. By doing so you can contribute, in a direct and meaningful way, to the future of the Jewish people.

Madrich/a Responsibilities:

•    Overseeing the safety, security, health and well-being of all students
•    Facilitating group dynamics, organizing extra-curricular activities, getting the group to bond and work together as a community
•    Arranging Israeli culture activities both on and off campus
•    Being a role model to the students: someone who the students can look up to and learn from
•    Being a liaison between the student group and senior staff
•    Enforcing all AMHSI policies, rules, and regulations
•    Organizing holiday-related programming and Shabbat programming

•    Administrative duties including taking care of logistical needs of the group regarding Tiyul days and while on campus, coordinating free weekend home hospitality for students

Madrich/a Qualifications:

For non-Israeli applicants:
  • College graduate
  • Preferably graduate of AMHSI, but not essential
  • Extensive Israel experience
  • Proficiency in the Hebrew language and knowledge of Judaism
  • Extensive Leadership (Hadracha) experience: experience with groups, either in camp, youth groups or Israel program settings (as a participant and as staff)
  • Extensive programming experience
  • Must display responsibility, initiative, adaptability, flexibility, maturity, and be a team player
For Israeli applicants:
  • Army service or Sherut Le’umi
  • Extensive experience in Hadracha (Leadership) positions (Youth movements, camps etc.) and positions working with English-speaking youth
  • Excellent working knowledge of English
  • Extensive programming experience
  • Must display responsibility, initiative, adaptability, flexibility, maturity, and be a team player
